::the case of the missing disc::

i'm at war with someone who also shops at my neighbourhood video store.

as you may know, i've recently become obsessed with that show six feet under. it happened in san diego - i saw one episode, and now i'm hooked. i've been renting the first season, and i've run into a little problem.

someone is watching it at the same pace i am. everytime i go in to get the next disc (right now i am in desperate need of disc 3, season 1), it's gone.

so i did something that, after explaining to jeff & matt, seems a little insane.

i rented disc 4 with no intent on watching it just so that when this person returns disc 3, and goes in search of the sacred, missing disc 4, they are as frustrated as i have been.

and this, my friends, gives me some sick, pathetic satisfaction.

something is terribly, terribly wrong with me.

i could just go down to another video store, and rent disc 3, but now i'm not even sure if it's about watching the show. i'd say it's about winning, but really, what am i winning?

i should probably start hanging out with my friends more. ya think?
