ahhh, yes.
so i'd like to give two big, fat thank yous to my dad and eric, who gave me some excellent words of wisdom this morning concerning the issues at hand.
it was the heat shield for my catalytic converter, and when i told the guy at the shop that, i said it like i actually knew what the fuck a catalytic converter was.
he said it would be like $10 to reclamp it if they could, or they'd just have to tear it off.
i was so freaked out about driving my car all the way over there, and when i turned down the alley next to my apartment, the little fucker got caught on something and started twisting up & making the most god awful sound i've ever heard.
so.
i stopped, grabbed that handy dandy little scraper from the back of my car, got on the filthy, wet ground, reached under my car, and beat the shit out of that shield until it fell off.
easy as that.
no more noise.
