before i left this morning matt gave me great advice: "whatever you do, make sure you address the judge as 'buttons'."
maybe you had to be there, but i'm still laughing.
seriously, i think i might start going down to daley center in my free time, and hanging out in the different court rooms just for fun. it was exciting!
and there was this super hot prosecutor. good lord. when he would get pissed off he would clench his fists, and laugh condescendingly. he was a total prick, and oh.my.god. how i salivated over him. i was really glad that he wasn't up there during my case because he would have surely tripped me up.
i was kind of looking forward to screaming, "i object!" but, sadly, it never happened. i also really really really wanted to tell someone they were out of order, but i guess technically, you have to be the judge to do that.
time for a career change?
i bet you didn't know that when i was a little girl i wanted to be a lawyer. it's kind of telling though that everytime i visualized it, i saw me busting into the court room looking hot, wearing the most kick ass suits and high heels.
i got to do that today anyway. except there was no grand entrance like there always was in my fantasies.
but i did win.
duh.
